It’s time I uncover my secrets, break my bad habits and truly discover who I am. It’s not easy to break down a wall you’ve been hiding behind your entire life. It’s scary, I mean who actually enjoys stepping out of their comfort zone? Some individuals perhaps, but not me. I am approaching the half way mark we all cross on our journey through life and I haven’t a clue what I enjoy doing or what I “want to be when I grow up”. Isn’t it funny, how often we’re asked that question right out of diapers and how quickly we would respond in full certainty? I guess as we get older fear starts to sink in and holds us back. Fear of failing before we even try.. Fear of not being good enough, even though we know “practice makes perfect”.. Fear of wasting time on dedicating ourselves to something we won’t enjoy years down the road, while we’re wasting that same time trying to find the one right path. I am stepping away from the safety of my wall and breaking it down; not all at once but brick by brick. I’ve decided to log my journey, my experiences, my new found hobbies, my failures and my accomplishments to remind myself of who I am working to become.
